In 2012, when the first iPad had just been released, 4 animation grads realised its vast potential for interactive storytelling and set upon an idea. It took blood, sweat and tears but after raising funding on Kickstarter they hired a small but talented team of artists, animators, innovative developers and sound designers to help realise their childhood dream...

2 YEARS LATER they released the world’s first animated comic book app, complete with professional voice acting and a cinematic score from DJ Yoda.
It was an instant critical success and after being featured by apple, Niko hit no 1 on the worldwide app store with over 500k downloads.

In 2015 Niko caught the attention of Amazon Studios. The creative team worked side by side to create the Emmy award winning pilot and the series was green lit on Amazon prime.
The highly rated show went on to pick up 11 further Annie and Emmy nominations. Then out of the blue... it was CANCELLED!?!
NOW... 10 Years later in a NEW era of digital art, the original indie comic returns, restored in HD and re-released for a very special limited edition auction featured only on exchange.art
MEET THE C0-CREATORS BEHIND THE PROJECT
JIM BRYSON is an award winning creator, director and character designer who started drawing at a young age to avoid doing homework. Ironically, he now spends most of his time working from home for clients such as FOX, DISNEY & AMAZON STUDIOS. In 2019 he was nominated for an Annie Award in Character Design.
ADAM JEFFCOAT has earnt his silver streaked hair over the past 20 years, directing for clients including MARVEL, DISNEY & NICKELODEON. In 2013 he wrote and directed the critically acclaimed animated comic ‘Niko & the Sword of Light’ which went onto become an Emmy award winning TV series on Amazon Prime.
